Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Joshi Car Rental ("we", "us"), run by Bishal Joshi in Bharatpur, Chitwan, Nepal, collects when you use this website or book a car, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Booking details you send us: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, pickup and drop-off places, dates, number of travellers and any flight or hotel details.
- Documents for self-drive rental: your driving licence, International Driving Permit and passport or citizenship card, which we check when you collect the car.
- Website usage: pages visited, the device and browser used, rough location (country or city) and which buttons are clicked, measured with Google Analytics.
The booking form
The booking form on this website does not store or send anything to us by itself. It writes a message in WhatsApp for you, and nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp. Messages are then handled under WhatsApp's privacy policy.
How we use your information
- To give you a price, confirm your booking and arrange the car and driver.
- To contact you about your trip, for example if a pickup time changes.
- For self-drive rentals, to confirm you are allowed to drive the car.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the website.
We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing messages unless you ask us to.
Analytics and cookies
This website uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits and see how people use the site. Google processes this data under Google's privacy policy. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. The website works without them.
How long we keep it
We keep booking messages and details only as long as we need them for the trip, follow-up questions and our own records. Copies of self-drive documents are not kept after the rental ends unless needed to settle a problem with the car.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by messaging or calling us on +977 9863326870.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
